The Velocite Flux Alloy was designed to be the perfect hardtail cross country mountain bike, ideally suited to gravel bikepacking due to its robustness, balance and great handling. It is also exceptionally stiff, light and makes no compromises with its geometry.
Two-pass welded, triple butted, cold worked 7005-T6 alloy means the Flux Alloy is virtually unbreakable! Coupled with disc brakes, its true toughness means that you can immediately switch from cross country into your beast of burden, merely with the addition of a favourite bikepacking bag or two.
We offer the Flux Alloy MTB in five sizes which retain relative proportions with three wheel sizes. Sizes Extra-Large(XL) and Large(L) use 29er wheels, size Medium(M) uses 27.5″/650B wheels, and sizes Small(S) and Extra-Small(XS) use 26″ wheels. Putting our rider’s performance first, we feel that this is the best way to offer consistently good handling and performance to riders of all sizes, bucking the bad industry trend to “force-fit” everyone with 29er wheels and into a frame that is too small for them, especially for persons with small stature (eg: juniors), that leads to poor handling and therefore poor performance.
The Flux Alloy inspires immediate familiarity and rewards you with a lively ride that has an immediate responsiveness, be it steering or powering forwards. Flex is eliminated due both to the 1.5″ tapered head tube, and the beefiest chainstays and bottom bracket area of any cross country mountain bike, be it carbon or alloy. The huge chainstays are a massive 40mm high and composed of a single cold worked tube. Climbing feels assured and efficient, not like a flexible frame that bends and twists like spaghetti, at every stroke and obstacle.
When descending, the exceptional torsional stiffness ensures that your wheels go where you point them, allowing you to focus on your riding line further away.
